Pip report from paper based

Hi. Ok so this might seem abit stupid but because of my mental health I have a tendency to over think over panic etc 
so If this upsets anyone please just scroll past 

I was award pip by paper base and I asked for a copy of it, which came today. There is a lot of areas I disagree with but the total points at the end was enough to be given an award I feel I should have gotten anyway. So my question is how import is this report. It wouldn’t change the points to change the award but I’m wondering if at my review it will matter? Thanks and sorry again it’s just my brain is going at a million miles an hour. It’s very mental health based and not so much about my physical disabilities

    Great to hear you had a paper based assessment, they are quite rare still. 

    In my experience they have used the previous report in the report for my review, same for my daughters very first review back in 2019. Although I’ve never experienced it to be a bad thing, which for us was good. 

    When it is time for your review you just need to make sure you treat it as a new claim, even if there’s been no changes. If you need advice when the time comes please just “shout” and I’m sure someone will happily advise you.

    Thanks. So basically I don’t really need to ask them to look at it again because when it’s time for the renewal (2 years) I just fill it in like I’ve just done for my first one.

    2 years, at least I don’t need to worry about it for a while.  Phew

    You’re welcome. You only need to ask them to look at the decision again if you disagree with the award you have. This is known as the Mandatory Reconsideration. If you agree then you don’t need to do anything until your review.

    Paper based is when they have enough of information to write the assessment report without either a telephone/video or face to face assessment.

    @SharonRuth I think it might have been because of my mental health issues, (I also have physical issues too) but I did send in every bit of paper I could find related to health and medical records also a diary and support letters too. Obviously I was so pleased not to have the phone call but at the same time there are things in my report that might have been different if I had had the change to explain.
