It sure is and it's hard to think of autumn with its hat on, when the weather has finally picked up with temperatures here of 25 plus, all week, with bright sunshine.0

Yes, i have. Finally after booking my holiday 20 months ago we are going in 1 weeks time (8th to 23rd September) Egypt all inclusive for 2 weeks. Can't wait to finally see some sun and just relax. Have a couple of trips already booked, with the Pyramids of Giza being one of them. Just my younger daughter and myself. My first holiday without my eldest daughter, it will be strange.I will not be logging into the community for the time i'm away, just incase anyone wonders where i am. I will be back online once i'm home.5

That sounds great poppy. I've always wanted to go Egypt and see the pyramids.
One day💯1 -
Don't go on a camel ride at The Pyramids. I tell you this from personal experience!
September is my favourite month. I love the late summer sunshine and the first yellows of autumn. We took our puppy on her first holiday to The Isle of Wight one September. There weren't too many people around, I took my dog swimming every day in a sea that felt warm, and the sun shone and shone for a full week. We had no pressing need to return to London, so as the sun was still shining we went and had a week in sunny Cornwall. Two weeks of lovely weather and beautiful scenery. The day after we returned to London it rained and rained and rained! I always like September.
My plan this September is to get out of London, if only for a day. Since I became disabled in May 2016 I haven't been away from home unless you count numerous trips to the hospital in an ambulance! About 6 weeks ago I became steadier on my tri-walker and have been leaving my mobility scooter at home. I have been to every main London train station, but there are so many obstacles in the way of actually getting on a train, like a broken lift at Liverpool Street. But I am ever hopeful of making the great escape sometime this month, and if I don't I am at least enjoying the planning.0 -
Thankyou, Grinchy and life! Steve in the city, i won't be going on any camels at anytime, i wouldn't be able to get on them anyway0

@Sandy_123 So I hopefully will get more time in my hammock yet! haha. I do find that is always the way too. The kids go back to school and the sun comes out! 😂
@woodbine I've already started Christmas shopping! I should do my cards early actually, I always find it hard to get one for "grandparents" so usually have to get it done on one of those personalised card websites.
Poppy, that sounds amazing! I hope you have the best time!! Are you planning to go to the new Egyptian Museum too?
@Steve_in_The_City I hope you manage a few nice days out! You'll have to keep us updated. I wondered, is the coach an option for you?
