Good morning all.
I have been handing in fit notes since 24th May 2023.
My assessment period is 9th - 8th and my decision was 5th September.
When will I receive my first payment?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry , first fit note was 15th May!0

Your waiting period will be June/July, July/Aug, Aug/Sept… LCWRA element starts from 9th Sept to 8th Oct and first payment will be 15th Oct. No LCWRA element is owed.0

I've been told September, October and November lol0

That’s not correct based on the information you gave here. The waiting period starts from when you reported your health condition. Providing you sent a fit note within 7 days of that and continued to send them the whole time without any gaps, until a decision was made on your WCA.chrispee said:I've been told September, October and November lol

I contacted uc twice , one said Sept, another said Nov!
You said Oct. I'm more inclined to go with you.
I've had no gaps , I've had two 3 month fit notes from 14th May.0 -
Definitely believe poppy! I completely agree as to when your LCWRA element will be first paid from what you have said..

Providing you gave the correct information above then my advice is correct. However, first you said your first fit note was 24th May, then 15th May and now 14th May. Providing it wasn't after the start of your June assessment period then my advice is correct. You should also be aware that if you're ringing the UC helpline for advice then they are not benefits advisors and not really the place to go for advice because they mostly read from a screen with very little knowledge on benefits.0

It's fine , I trust you ! Thanks for your response.0
