Why won’t DWP tell me what I’ve been awarded for my PIP review over the phone?

I recently had a PIP review and it seems they’ve come to the decision paper based as I had no assessment. I had a text this morning telling me my review is complete and the decision letter should turn up in 2 weeks, but not to call them before I get the letter.

Why is that? My anxiety is going crazy not knowing if I’ve been awarded pip again, and if I have what I got. I wish they’d have just told me via text or call.

Hi @floralora - it seems that's just a standard letter, which can cause more anxiety rather than you just waiting for your decision letter a little longer (without getting a text).

@floralora I'm sorry they were not able to tell you but as chiarieds has said. It sounds like a standard text that they send so you keep an eye out for the letter. Definitely agree it's more anxiety inducing than anything else. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Hello, I’m in the same position as you! Did the change of circumstance as had new conditions and got a lot worse, didn’t get invited to an assessment and received a text Monday saying my pip review is complete and I will receive  a letter within two weeks. Although today I was paid my normal lower pip I receive anyway so now I’m a bit disheartened and anxiety is through the roof thinking does this mean everything it staying the same. Guess I just have to wait for the letter but it’s torturing me waiting

I got standard daily living and no mobility again (despite having a blue badge, explain that). I’m going to ask for a MR and take it to appeal if I have to.

That’s crazy! Also I don’t see how they can award the same without even having an assessment! Still waiting for my letter but I’m not hopeful.

It is! I let it slide last time as I was pregnant and just couldn’t deal with the stress of a MR and maybe tribunal. It’s so frustrating. I’m on my second blue badge too, and I used the same evidence I use for pip. I just don’t understand how I don’t qualify for any mobility, when moving around is why I can’t care for myself.
