Realized I don't need anybody/Given up on dating/love.

Had a few relationships, heart was broken twice 2 heartbreaks are enough and I've realized the loneliness dissipates if I just keep busy, but now I just focus on what matters.

Has anybody else given up on love?

    Hi @wandering_chris Sorry to hear you've had your heart broken twice. It can really knock you back. 

    It's good that you've been able to focus on what matters. Romantic love is only one kind of love, and while that can spring up on you at any time, there are so many other places to find other types of love and joy in your life.

    Sounds a bit sappy, but the love you have for friends and family, pets, nature, doing things you enjoy, and even looking after yourself can be just as fulfilling. It can still be difficult when you're hoping for romantic companionship, but it can definitely help to reframe what's important to you sometimes.

    hey. I think definately having a disability makes it harder to meet people. And definately its harder to meet likeminded people with similar lifestyles. But i dont think its a dead end. Just focus on you. And being as happy as u can be. And maybe one day it will just come along. Thats how im doing it anyways. I say it like its a fullpropf plan. Definately not lol

    I'm open to the possibility, but not actively looking. 
    After my relationship ended in May I went back to online dating a few weeks later, and it was a disaster. Made me very unhappy. 
    So I've stopped trying, focusing instead on other things that keep me happy and satisfied while single.
    Very cynical that another relationship will find me (took me 10 years of trying off & on to get one!) but haven't given up all hope.
