Hi @sarablackmore - I'm so sorry the DWP have been so insensitive, & it's understandably upset you, Naturally the DWP will say that they disagree with your appeal, but their 'reason' is way off.Yes, carry on with your appeal; you can do it! Remember the tribunal are totally separate from the DWP, & will listen to you.0

Hey @sarablackmore, firstly welcome to the community and thank you for sharing your story, even if it's rubbish news!
But it's a story we hear a lot, the DWP make it so hard to get the help we're all deserving of. So I know it may see like the hardest thing in the world right now, but please think about appealing the decision, the tribunal are totally different to the DWP assessors!
We're all here to help you.0 -
Thank you both for your replies its just so frustrating and making my anxiety so much worse

Do it, as people have said the Tribunal do listen and are independent of DWP. You may have a wait for a hearing, so use your time in preparing why you disagree, collate all evidence and send it off when they contact you and offer the availability to return such. But be ready for the tribunal, have your answers ready, I had a years worth of points and notes! Some I didn't actually need, but better to be prepared. The Tribunal will listen to you. Good Luck0

I am also a carer for my autistic son. They sent me pretty much the same response as you have received.
Do not give up if you think you'd score points.
I had my tribunal yesterday but don't yet know what decision was made. Letter in the post 🙄. I will update you and hopefully give you some hope to continue your battle because that's what it is .2 -

@Floydiee1995. Thank you.
It shows closes and there is a blue box underneath that is headed Latest update....just says the latest update should have been sent to you! I know my hearing overran and they had three more after me so I'm guessing it's a time issue and will update at some point. Thank you and well done you for seeing it through as it's not an easy process.0 -
