Hi, my name is chelsea1956! Are yearly assessments normal?

Hello, just had my assessment with PIP had to explain about my anxiety and depression all over again,been on PIP along time, how come every year I have to do a telephone or fill a form,I am 68 years of age. Basic pension rented flat been up all night. Worrying about this interview. Just hope it went well.

Everyone has different award lengths and during reviews most people have assessments. You can also request a longer award length.As you're over state pension age, those people who's conditions are not expected to change will have a 10 year award, however, not everyone of this age receives a longer award length.Once the report is returned a decision can take up to 12 weeks.0

I'm sorry to hear things are causing you so much worry. As Poppy has said, you can ask for a longer award length and hopefully they can stop this being a yearly thing for you.
Are you doing this all yourself, or do you have someone who can help you?
