Pip refused

in PIP, DLA, ADP and AA
Hi  this is on behalf of my friend 
so he has psychosis and from support from mental health team they supported him and he got pip
few years prior to that he was young had about 5 operations in total including hop replacement bit he never claimed pip although he really should have as this all affected his day to day life
He had the assessment and based it on the physical impact the hip is having on him but he got refused it 
he still struggles with the daily component although he is does not like to go to the gp and hospitals because of everything he has suffered with his day to day is affected and he needs a lot of support
he answered the Q accordingly but they scored him 0 in everything and now he has to give his mobility car back too which will impact him immensely 
he has asked for a MR but is there any point him going down this route it seems they made their mind even though he told them he struggles to walk more than 200 yards they still put down he can he explained he cannot follow any new routes

    I will just add when you write you MR Letter do not critisise the assessment report or the descision. Focus on the descriptors and the impact of the Claimants condition doing those activities Reliably (safely, repeatedly, in a timely manor and to an acceptable standard )
    Include the name and national insurance number of the Claimant on the letter and every additional sheet of paper and any copies of medical evidence.

    Thank you I now know as I went through similar experience but even with medical evidence i still had to go through the appeal but not sure how my friend will manage this i will look at the post thank you 
    it just seemed they wanted him to be under specific professionals from their responses even though he spoke how things affected him day to day and activity to activitynot sure if any of this makes sense and the fact he has a job they claim he is absolute fine

    Hi @asg23 - it's great you are supporting your friend. Unfortunately some decision letters do say because you're not seeing some specialists you can therefore do a,b,c. These 'cut & paste' responses shouldn't put him off from appealing further with his MR. These are best put in writing, & he can hopefully add a letter in time if he asked for a MR over the phone.
    As Nasturtium says, your friend should put his decision letter behind him. He doesn't need medical evidence, even tho it may seem so. His own evidence is actually the most important thing.

    i was in a similar situation and had to go tribunal one of the most stressful experiences and really did not want my friend to have to go through this as his mental capacity since his psychosis is not the same but i will pass the advice thank you so much 

    It really is a shame people have ti gi through these experiences just to make sound how much they struggle daily
