@MickH I think yours and mine was the same timescale. Mine started May 22. Most stressful process I've ever had to deal with.1

I LOVE reading success stories from our community! It's certainly not an easy road, but it's well worth fighting for.
I think my longest timescale was 18 months?2 -
Yay! opening another thread to good news!1

@carlys7 nice one! I had my phone call on Tuesday afternoon 🙂 so hopefully not to long of a wait now then!3

In my review, I submitted a letter from my gp. He started the letter by saying I have significant problems which affect my health and life to the point that I am now disabled and that he watched me take a few minutes to walk a few yards. I also enclosed Orthopaedic and Gynea consultant letters that stated poor mobility and pain. Yet DWP/HP think I can walk 20-50 metres. Does my GP, calling me disabled not mean I'm classified disabled and combined letters confirm that my poor mobility means I cannot walk more than 20 metres.0

Does my GP, calling me disabled not mean I'm classified disabled and combined letters confirm that my poor mobility means I cannot walk more than 20 metres.I can see the issue if that's all your GP told them because it's not enough of detail. Being disabled is irrelevant to an extent because this doesn't automatically entitle you to score higher in a descriptor. This is one reason why letters from a GP are never the best evidence to send. I can't comment on the other evidence you sent because i have no idea what information was in there. If you're not happy with the decision then you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) assuming you haven't done that yet. If this decision doesn't change you can then proceed to Tribunal.0

Hi @Dipsydee, welcome to the community. I read you other comment in a different thread. I'm sorry to hear your MR was not successful, they unfortunately often are not.
However, appeals after very often successful, ~70% of appeals are in favour of the claimant. Let us know if you need help or anymore information on going for a tribunal appeal. We have an advice page that goes into the tribunal process if you'd like to read through it Appealing a DWP decision | Disability charity Scope UK.

@Floydiee1995 no letter yet but backpay went in overnight. I don't know what to advise you.1

Thank you @bg844 and @justmeandthee. I’m on the phone waiting to speak to someone now. Just found it strange as haven’t heard many occasions where the letter has arrived before the back payment. Oh well just got to wait and see and hopefully find out soon.0
-
@Floydiee1995 neither have I . I'm on hold too as the COL payment only covers one date so one is missing.
This frigging music 😬 already listened to an hour of it waiting for Income Support to answer my call. Bet they hang up on us at 4.59 because that's happened to me before . Good luck.1 -
@justmeandthee yes more than likely! All ready been on the phone for 25 minutes! Good luck to you too!1

Hi so I'm currently appealing to a tribunal regarding my belief that I have been marked wrong for descriptor 9 and 10.
Firstly can someone tell me if debt letters to me will be classed as some sort of evidence where I'm arguing I'm unable to make budgeting decisions due to impulsiveness I suffer with and spend money I don't really have or am unable to repay.
Secondly does someone know how true it is that the 2019 law change by the supreme court does now count prompting as a sort of social support for engaging with other people.

Hello everyone sorry to pop In lol my names jamie nice to talk to u all. Well done om everyone's success storys. And if your nervous and have tribunal coming up don't be to scared they only ask u questions what they disagree with and there just trying to help in a way by seeing if you can be awarded more points by how your disability effects u daily that's the only reason why they ask questions. So my story is. I was on standard daily living. Had telephone hearing with tribunal on 22nd may at 2.10pm it was scheduled for 2pm but wasn't in conference until 2.10pm. So if you was to have a telephone hearing they call you before the time and tell you who's going to be there and what's going to happen and they tell you wether your going to get a desicion that day or when you'll receive it in the post. Then that person will call you again and transfer u to the conference call where there's a judge, a doctor, someone from dwp. They will explain to you what there going to talk about and they will all ask you a range of questions if they feel they need to. Then they will say thank u and the call will end. Hope this helps to anyone. Oh u can have breaks if u need a break. So what I'm wondering is. I looked on my claim online and I can see my appeal has been allowed and I've been awarded enhanced on both daily and motability. I've not had my decision in the post from tribunal yet but I'm guessing it's the same as the one online anyway. I've had nothing to sat I'm getting backdated or no phone call. Also it's not been updated yet through pip when I call. So do I wait or who do I call about this. Thanks

It can take up to about 8 weeks for PIP to put your award into payment and pay what is owed. They will contact you at some point to ask if you've either been in hospital or prison. Sometime after that they will pay what is owed. You will then receive the award letter from DWP.
