UC child Element study from Home

Hi, could anyone answer this for someone else please?

" Hi I have a 17-year-old who is in college and is diagnosed with social communication disorder. Her anxiety is through the roof and she is struggling to go to college. Does it still count as a student if she does an online course from home? what does class as education for the purposes of universal credit?

Studying from home is possible yes but as I advised it will depend what course they are doing. Or what qualification it is. More details here https://www.scope.org.uk/advice-and-support/qualifying-young-person/
