My existing pip is up for renewal Jan 2024.
I used to have telephone reviews with my consultant every 6 mths since covid instead of hospital appointments.
however this now seems to have come to an end for some reason. Prob due to back log of hospitals etc.
shall I mention this on my renewal form and how will this affect my case?
obviously they will need proof of medication from GP etc which is no problem. The GP do not write letters.
I have a letter from my consultant dated 3 years ago which I used last time my renewal was due.
what is best?

Hi @Stratford - I wouldn't particularly mention that you no longer have phone reviews with your consultant, as PIP isn't about any diagnoses, rather about your functional ability to reliably do any of the 12 activities/descriptors.You can just send a recent prescription form, & don't therefore need any other proof of your medication from your GP.If your 3 year old consultant's letter is still relevant, then by all means you could include this. Again, the best evidence is your own, so try & give a couple of recent, detailed examples as to the difficulty you face for each applicable activity/descriptor, i.e. when did it happen, where, what happened, did anyone see this, & were there any consequences to attempting/doing an activity?
Also say if you can do each applicable activity 'reliably,' i.e. safely, to an acceptable standard, repeat as often as one would reasonably expect, or if it takes you much longer than someone without a disability.There's not that much space on a review form, but whatever you do, don't just say something like 'no change,' if this is the case, you should still give a detailed reply identifying where you still have difficulty. In other words, treat it as if it was an initial claim. You can always add extra pages at the end, just ensure you put your name & National Insurance number on each page.
