Hello, i work for local gov part time, i and term time only, and have been long term sick since mid March this year 2023,and two long periods of sickness last year i suffer severe anxiety, depression, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia ๐i made the decision to apply for ill health retirement on 11th aug, not an easy decision to make. I shuld have had OH assessment last fri 13th,they never phoned, so i called them, said no one was available staff shortage, so they sent me new appointment for 23rd nov. Not happy, phoned again they said they would try to escalate it, so far not heard anything, so frustrating ๐ฌsorry for long post, any advice out there.ย

Hi @Annedilligaff, welcome to the community. Sorry to read you've had your appointment put back, that sounds really frustrating.ย
I'm afraid I don't have any specific advice, but I just wanted to say hello and welcome you. I hope you'll find the community useful!
Hopefully they're able to escalate it and get you seen sooner, but it might just be a case of pestering them until you get through. Are you managing to cope at the moment?0 -
Hi, thank you, yes i will keep pestering, i really did not want to give up my job, i love it, home to school transport im the attendant.
Anxiety high, but i got coping mechanisms. Hope resolved soon.ย Will keep page updated ๐0 -
That's good @Annedilligaff, it's definitely not easy when you have to give up things you love, but I'm glad you've got some coping mechanisms to fall back on.
Reach out if you ever need some support, and keep us posted
Fingers crossed you're able to be seen soon and things start getting better for you!0 -
Thank you, i will do๐0
