I had my lcrw medical assessment by telephone about 5/6 weeks ago, I got a message on my journal today that I will be getting a call tomorrow morning from the decision maker because my medical forms have come back and he needs to clarify a few things before he makes a decision. Does anybody know what this phonecall entails?? Is it exactly how it sounds??

It's exactly what they told you it's for and the decision maker just needs to ask you a few questions before making their decision. Please do let us know the outcome, if you can.2

Looks like poppy has answered your question, but I hope it goes well and isn't too stressful for you. Let us all know how you get on1

It will likely only be a few questions but please do make sure you answer the call.

Did you get the phone call from the decision maker this morning? @Simo1 How did it go?1

Sorry for the late reply. He said he was just checking to see if anything new had come to light regarding my health problems etc...it was nothing to worry about. He was really nice e and sympathetic.1

I'm assuming no decision letter has been uploaded onto your journal yet?

No nothing as yet because he did say about 24 hrs or so.0

I have just got back my decision letter this morning and it states that I may be capable for some type of work. I will definitely be appealing this decision since the last time I did this assessment a few years ago he stated that my condition has improved which if anything it has gotten worse. I have what you would probably call anxiety attacks
along with my disability I don’t know what I could do. Amy comments would be appreciated.
thanks for listening to my rant.0 -
This means you’ve been found fit for work. I’m sorry to hear that.Your first step is to request the Mandatory Reconsideration. You have 1 month from the date of decision to request this. You can either put a message on your journal or write a letter. You should state which group you think you placed into and your reasons why. You can see the descriptors for LCW here

@simo1 I am sorry to hear you'll have to go through the appeal process. I hope the community can continue to be a support for you1

I’ll keep everyone updated for sure, is their anyway I could post a draft of my appeal letter and somebody could critique it to see if I have worded it correctly?? I don’t want to ask for too much but I have never done one before
