Creative corner for entertainment

Hi everyone! I thought I would create this post for anyone who's a creative soul such as myself, and whom wishes to share any of their creative works or ideas. Whether it's poetry, theatrical pieces such as monologues, lyrics for song compositions, or everyday creativity such as new dishes anyone's thinking of cooking for the first or second time! I loved my time studying Performing Arts proffessionally, and whilst i'm temporarily transferring my skills within the confines of my personal life, i'm thinking, "what the heck! Why don't I carry on the fun and lightness by sharing my light with the Scope gang! Why don't I encourage them to party on with me for light entertainment!" LOL. Don't be shy, one of the fab things about creativity is the lack of inhibition, and community spirit! So I hope to see a lot of genious flying about on this post!!! Big hug and happy creating!

A lovely idea @Misswillow1, we have lots of creative members around, especially poets
I studied drama and performing arts for a while too before my health got in the way and I still dip in and out of some aspects of it in my free time. I'm more on the creative or practical side of things now rather than on the stage performing, but that's just as fun to me most of the time!
What kind of creative things do you most like doing?1 -
Brilliant idea @Misswillow1, I'm pretty sure if we pooled all of the talent in this community, we could put on our own stage show.
I'm an ex musician and SFX makeup artist, but due to declines in health, I now stick to makeups for Halloween or modelling shoots and occasionally picking up my acoustic.
I studied performing arts for my GCSEs and had so much fun!1 -
Hello Albus and Rosie. Thank you so much for your engagement and interraction, I was half concerned no one would bother, (i'm used to being around sleepyheads around me in my life), so thank you. Anyway, no problem, I enjoyed acting on my inspiration! It conderns me that the majority of blind/VI people i've come across in my life experience so far, always focus more on the hardship of our various conditions, rather than the enlightening and fun aspects of them. You know?... So I hope our discussion precipitates more creative users to include themselves. Never mind stage play Al mate, if the three of us pooled all the creative members of Scope, we could produce a screen play. A hit TV sensation!!! LOL. The next action Hollywood blockbuster! Lights, camera, action!!! LOL. That's amazing guys, i'm really glad you still keep your hand in. Creativity in everyday life no matter what it is, is so important... Makes life magical again. That's my experience anyway. Well, to answer your question gang, I love devising monologues, short stage plays, raps and poems for private amusement or to share with close friends and family. I am working on summuning up the courrage to publish my personal entertainment online LOL. I don't want my tallent to run away with me and accidentally end up following Justin Bieber's example in my present lifetime LOL. Seriously. Anyway, i'm happy to share my material with you guys (Coffee Lounge), so look out for my next update on this post. I guarantee, you'll all have a blast reading! I have a level 3 diploma in Performing Arts, I plan to study my L4 undergrad once the global economy is solidly back up and running, you know so i'm not up against it with the job market or financial abundance. A dear friend of mine once suggested I challenge myself to study screen work at Uni, and work towards a career in TV. So i'll deffo challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone from stage production (which is my current preference). I've begun finding reading material on sustaining a film or stage career, from youth to veteran years, to my absolute delight! One of my creative endeavors (a rap I composed for personal hillarity a couple of years ago) went viral around an acquaintance's workplace, much to my amazement! So on my next update in Creative Corner, you can feast your senses on my Covid rap. Feel free to do parodies if you wish LOL. I tried to embody the virus in my rap, make it emotive. Glad I succeeded. LOL. Moving forwards in my personal creative endeavors, i'm contemplating updating my reportoire (having a go anyway) by moving into the comedy genre. So writing theatrical or screen monologues (for sitcoms) in my spare time. I have a childlike sense of humour, equivalent to a six year old's (i'm actually in my early 30's) so finding my muse will be a doddle! Stay tuned!
I love reading up about self-development through Lucid Dreams in my spare time as well, learning how to use my ESP for more effective self-improvement, and fun. Plus of course, anything one conducts in the dream world, is free of charge! Win win! LOL yay...
I plan to join some drama classes for personal entertainment, and to improve my skill set, so stay tuned.
Right the rest of you creative people, get those creative juices flowing so we can all share in your creative ideas or works of art please.
Albus and Rosie, I couldn't agree more, studying the creative arts is indeed a life changer. I personally loved shedding off my own skin (MissWillow1, the woman living with ROP), and being anyone I wanted to be... I feel alive, like i'm living out part of my life purpose (from a spiritual context).
I like craft hobbies as well, such as playing with my Kenetic Sand or modling dough.
When I get my eventual Social Activity PCA aboard in my life, I look forward to upping my creativity. I plan to take us off to Art galleries, dance lessons (Country's my faveourite LOL), and to Madam Tusaud's Waxwork museum.
Right, i'll cease my nonstop chatter now, give your metaphoric headakes a break LOL.
Many many thanks again for fully participating Rosie and Albus. You're amazing! We're the three pioneers at Scope, if I do say so myself!!! Wink.
Big hug

I'm ooking forward to seeing the updates for sure.
When it comes to challenging yourself, I always go back to a quote from the late, great David Bowie.
"If you feel safe in the area you’re working in, you’re not working in the right area. Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in. Go a little bit out of your depth. And when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom, you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting."1 -
I couldn't agree more. I'd add an additional contemplation, that finding and acting upon the fun within any new challenges, helps dimminish the fear of facing challenges. Performing Arts taught me this much, "the show must go on, so best make it a knock out." LOL. You all get my drift. A close friend of mine once taught me, "during tough times, the best support you can have, is yourself.". Wink. Another of my favourite general add on sayings that the spiritual members of Scope will get, is, "Life is a rehearsal for the real thing.". For me, that means, every reincarnation on earth, is preparation for the real spiritual development of becoming your best self. So I always try to see my own lifetime as boarding school. That helps me to stay awake. LOL. Hence why I love all that material out there on finding and living one's life purpose. It's true, you can't go wrong when you're on track when following it!
I'm wondering guys, would you like to see my personal statement for my 2024 Uni application? I want to try to get as much feedback on my draft version as widely as possible, and as i'm beginning to feel secure in this forum, I feel you guys could be of valuable benefit. Feel free to give me whatever constructive feedback you wish. I'm a woman of steel LOL. So let me know if you want to see it, and i'll paste it in during my next response.
Right, many thanks for reading and enjoying my post everyone
Big hug

I'll take the silence regarding my personal statement peer review as a "no thanks Rahila, we're not comfortable seeing what you've written for your uni application." LOL. If i'm correct in my assumption, no problem. Right then, here's an improved rap. Enjoy, and as i've said, if anyone else besides Rosie and Albus has any new contributions or ideas, post away gang! That's what this post's for, team fun! Wink.
Creative poem.
"I'm a theatre genious, as drama's a great pick me up!
I love devising, and the fun of improvising
Immersion keeps me spiritually thriving
As I feel like i'm diving.
Drama cleanses my soul
No fear of me growing old!
Bold and brave are my modes of raving
Fab chances of misbehaving.
Fun and lightness are my keys to success
My personal shows have got to be the best!
I'll take my audience with me freely
We'll float on my tallent like busy bees
Working hard to entertain and be entertained
So float on laighter, celebration and fame
Our collective lights shine ever brighter
while my talent makes us feel lighter and lighter.
So let's rejoyce in this poem
I dare say it'll lead to stardom
Happy immersing
My lips shan't be disaprovingly pursing!"
End of poem.
Big hug everyone

Lymric.
Though the weather today was cold
It never aged me tenfold
I exercised like a headless chicken
Never once to the point of sinking
I embraced the winter air
And danced to my tunes like I just didn't care!
End of lymric.
LOL2 -
Drink today for tomorrow, even more so if you had to borrow. Some people live with sorrow but don't fret you've got tomorrow. If ever you feel sad, just remember the days you've had. The world owes you nothing, but keeps on giving everything. Live this way as tomorrow is another wonderful day.
Is that a lymric lol1 -
Nice one! LOL. Man you totally got the swing! LOL. Anyone else wanna step up to the camera? It'll role as soon as new creative genious reaches us. Hug!1

Rain poem.
Though the rain soaks us through, making us feel blue
The creepy crawlies don't have a clue
They're gliding and twirling
Laughing and joking
Having a ball all the way through
The plants and trees drink their fill thirstily
Hydrating themselves
Ensuring they flourish well
As we mortals shelter indoors
We listen to the relaxation and peace the rain brings
Draming of spring when new life will begin with bling bling bling!
So while the rain may make us feel sad
it aint really all that bad!"
End of improv.1
