Hi everyone ,

I’ve just been successful at my tribunal . I was awarded 13 points which is the enhanced rate .

DWP awarded me 0 first then 0 after the reconsideration.

The way they just disregarded my condition was so frustrating so I decided to use a pip solicitor . She was amazing and I got seated full rate and back pay from a year .

do not give in you are entitled to pip but you have to explain how it affects your daily living .

Heya @benhop55 I'm so happy to hear of your success!

My story was very similar. 2 points at assessment, then 18 months later, the tribunal awarded me enhanced rate for both, without a solicitor. It's not an easy battle, but it's one that I personally think is well worth fighting for.  I think the DWP bank on people just giving up early.

I got 2 points originally. Then 4 points MD. THEN FAILED TRIBUNAL.

And yet the OP got 0 points first and second time, then goes to 13?!

This system digusts me. It's makes absolutely no sense to me. I am very, very angry about it.

I had to do the whole crooked PIP process myself. I have autism, learning difficulties, anxiety.

This is not to be grudging of anyone's success. I'm just dismayed at how people like me are basically at a heavy disadvantage to others with support.

I'm so sorry to hear about your tribunal @DataMat, I think the success rate is usually around 68%?

We are all here to support each other in their journey though, I've found a lot of the PIP process is making sure the forms are filled in correctly. Something our regulars are well versed in should you ever wish to apply again.

PIP isn't awarded based on any diagnosis. It's how those conditions affect you that counts. For your Tribunal did you either appear in person or have a telephone/video hearing? Or did you have a paper based hearing?

Give me some hope @benhop55, I just got a 0 0 decision with my ADHD and Crohn's. Going for MR but we'll see how that goes.

Can I ask you a question as I'm curious, in my first decision they said "Has no neurological condition". Did yours say the same? I'm curious what their definition of neurological condition is, because ADHD can certainly fall under that umbrella term.
