BBC One and BBC iPlayer, 10.15am-12.45pm

His Majesty The King leads the nation in the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph on Whitehall.

As it has for more than one hundred years, the two-minute silence at 11 o’clock will be followed by the service and wreath laying as the nation remembers all those from the UK, and across the Commonwealth, who have died serving their country.

For the first time ever, the BBC will be providing audio described commentary for audiences who are blind or partially sighted through BBC iPlayer and the channel’s red button function.

In the words of Rudyard Kipling, ''Lest we forget''

I am a loyal member of the RBL. They are fantastic and do so much for everyone. And the Blue Cross who I will be eternally grateful to.

The reason I think so highly of The Blue Cross is that I became ill and had to close my business. I didn't know I could claim benefits and I had absolutely nothing. I have been broke before so I know how to cope, but this time things were different. I knew I wasn't going to recover and I didn't know where I could get money from. But more importantly I had a dog who was dying. The vet bills were astronomical. But the Blue Cross has a travelling veterinary van where you can take your sick animal. They ask you to pay the basic price for medicines, that is all. But I had zilch spondoolies. They gave my dog the medicine anyway (it wasn't cheap) and she lived for a little longer. If it hadn't of been for The Blue Cross I don't know what would have happened. I hold them in high esteem. If you are poor and you can't afford vet's fees, then The Blue Cross comes to your aid.

I didn't realise they have a travelling van! I'm glad they were able to help when she was sick <3
