PIP and car tax.

I normally pay full price for my road tax even though I have a standard rate for Mobility. I pay it because I don't understand what I have to do and have never been able to pay the full amount upfront
It's time to renew and I would rather not pay full price when I don't have to anymore. I know I have to pay whatever amount it is upfront and not pay monthly but that is about it I don't even have a tax form to take to the PO anymore.. are they all online?
Can someone walk me through the process, please?

Thank you, yes it is for standard mobility. Do I print that V10 form off? I've not received one for a long time.

Thank you again

sorry to be a pain
Can anyone tell me how much my tax is for the year please its just a load of gobble-de-gook for me when I try to work it out I think its a
but need to make sureF 141-150g/km £200
Its a Ford Fusion semi auto, 5door 1.388cc V7 co 149 G/KM registered 20/02 2008
So if it is the £200 I send a PO for £100 and proof of standard mobility?
Also, it says an original copy of the MOT.. I cant send a photocopy. Surely I don't have to send the real one?

If the tax is £200 then you send half the amount which is £100. Yes, you need to send the original MOT certificate and not a copy of it. They will return all the documents to you.You need to do all of this each time you need to tax it. It can't be done at any post office.1

Thank you. So I have to send my MOT my insurance and my pip stuff. Let's hope it doesn't go missing in the post.
Thank you both for your help0 -
You don't need an insurance certificate. Please see the advice here from noman for what you need to send.
There shouldn't be an issue with receiving everything back. People apply for this all the time.noman said:You must include the following with your application:
- An official letter or statement from the DWP confirming that you are in receipt of an award, the dates of the award, name and address
- an ADP decision letter from Social Security Scotland that shows your mobility component rate and the dates you’re getting it
- the vehicle registration certificate (V5C)
- a V10 form
- an original MOT or GVT certificate (if your vehicle needs one)
- a cheque or payable order (made out to ‘DVLA, Swansea’) for 50% of the full rate of car tax for the vehicle
Don’t include a copy of your PIP adjudication with your application.
If you’ve just bought the vehicle and it’s not registered in your name yet, you’ll need to download and complete a V62 form and include the V5C/2 new keeper supplement with your application.
Please also be aware that it may take a while for them to action this. When does your road tax expire?I still don't understand why they haven't introduced an easier way of doing this after 10 years of PIP being introduced.1 -
Thank you my next DD for the coming year is on the 4th Dec, so will get everything sent off tomorrow. No idea why they waited so long to email me to say about the new DD set-up.. Surely would be nicer to email people just as the old is ending so you can decide if you want to carry on or do it in a different way and to get all paperwork readypoppy123456 said:You don't need an insurance certificate.
