Apologies if this has been asked before! I sent off my MR for pip around 2 weeks ago, do you usually receive a text from DWP to acknowledge they have got it? If so how long does this take generally speaking? When should I worry that it has gotten lost in the post? Thank you

They received mine pretty quick but didn’t send a message until I rang to check. They said they had it but wasn’t loaded fully on the system yet. Give them a tinkle?0

Sometimes you do and sometimes you don’t, did you get free proof of postage from the Post Office when sending? It’s not a problem if you didn’t, it just can be seen as re-assurance for a claimant. When sending any mail to DWP, it’s actually sent to a Royal Mail sorting centre where it’s scanned on to the system using your National Insurance number and as you can expect with the scale of the benefits system, some post gets piled up causing a backlog to be scanned. Good luck with everything and you should hear something within 12 weeks.0
