LCWRA - Backdated Period ?

Hi All
After much back and forth with UC I have finally got some backpay for my LCWRA status. The problem is that it doesn't cover the entire period of my claim. My original claim goes back to March 2023, I have received backdated eligibility to July which leaves 3-4 months missing. After speaking with UC I get conflicting accounts of the rules, some UC agents state I am entitled to backpay to the point I made my claim, others say I am not.
Can anyone here enlighten me to the truth.
Thx in advance.

There’s a full 3 month assessment period waiting time. The extra money is then paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note. Payment is then paid at the end of the 4th month.
It’s not paid at all during the waiting period.
If you reported your health condition /provided your first fit note in March I would expect your first payment to be either July or August. The exact date will depend on the answers to the following questions…
What date exactly did you report your health condition/provide your first fit note?
What date do you usually receive your money each month?1 -
Hi @technosage - & welcome to the community. As poppy says, there's a 3 full month waiting period before the LCWRA element is due. This is then paid in arrears, the extra amount being due from your 4th assessment period.Depending on the date in March you supplied your first fit note, this being backdated to July sounds about right.if you anwer poppy's queries, then this can be checked.1

If im not entitled to claim while in 3 month assessment period then the amount I got is probably correct, I was led to believe that my backdated amount would include the 3 month assessment period. My original fit note was on 13th March and payment date is 27th.0

Then payment is due from your assessment period 21 June -20 July, with payment then being due from 27 July.

You were advised incorrectly. There’s always been a waiting period before the extra money is paid. The only time it paid from the start is if you’re claiming because of and of life. The same rules applied for ESA.0
