DWP have written to my Gp

Please could I ask people's advice? I am currently waiting for a WCA and have sent fit notes in from 12th oct. I am 60, have osteoarthritis and get standard pip. I am self employed and still working but was advised by my work coach to go down the health route as I can't manage to work full time hours.
I have just seen today on my nhs app that DWP have written to my GP. Is this normal?
I'm a bit worried because the letter has been submitted to another GP because the GP I've been seeing is on holiday. (I've never met this GP.)
Does the fact they've written to the GP mean there's a problem?
I am not trying to get out of working, I just can't manage all the hours they were asking me to do. Sorry to ramble but really upset in case this GP doesn't support me as I discussed everything with the other GP. Grateful for any info or other people's experiences.
Thank you.

Hi there @Minnie18 and welcome to the community from me.
The DWP will sometimes write to your GP for additional information or to check what's been given is correct, so it's nothing to worry about.1 -
It doesn’t mean there’s a problem. Sometimes, though rarely they will send your GP the UC113 form or the ESA113 form for those claiming ESA.You can see the form here, though it says ESA113, the UC form is identical. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/esa113-interactive-for-use-by-healthcare-practitioners1
