Hello! I’m Aggie. 

Prior to the deterioration of my health resulting in me leaving work, I was a nurse working in MH rehab services. I left work because of my health in 2021 and I’m struggling a bit, both with accepting my new reality and mourning the loss of my career. 

Looking forward to getting to know others on here ☺️

    Hey there @AgnesTheodore and welcome to the community!

    I'm sorry to hear you're mourning the loss of your career, change can be stupidly hard.  Can I just ask, do you have friends or family there to support you? 

     If you just wanted to chat and get to know some of us, I highly recommend our coffee lounge, it's full of lovely people. :)

    Hello!  Thank you for the welcome. 

    I do indeed. My family are very supportive, I’m extremely lucky. It’s just very saddening that something I love doing so much is no longer possible. I’m sure after a period I will be able to find new fulfilling activities, just the time between now and then may be a little bumpy.

    You're most welcome @AgnesTheodore and I can empathise.   My health conditions have meant a complete life overhaul, but after a period of mourning, things are starting to seem ok.  Just be gentle with yourself and allow the feelings to be recognised. <3
