Hi. I would like to start a business but l have mental health problems. Will that stop me ?

I would like to know if this will stop me or if there is places l can get help?

l also have a DRO. Will this interfere with my business?

    Heya @Rumi and welcome to the community. :)

    It's great you want to start your own business. There's nothing stopping you as far as mental health issues are concerned, but I will say just don't rush things and be aware of burning yourself out as that wont help your mental health at all. 

    As far as your DRO is concerned, you wont be able to start a limited company or be a company director without approval from the courts first. So you will be limited to what you can do.

    So l can be a sole trader? Do l need to wait until the DRO finishes to be a sole trader?

    @Albus_Scope regarding setting up a business, does that mean l can be a sole trader? Do l have to wait till my DRO finishes to set up as a sole trader?

    Hey @Rumi I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure,  you should have that information written into your DRO.  So it would be worth contacting whoever you have it with and ask them for specifics.

    Even with a DRO in place, you have the option to venture into being a sole trader, operating independently and enjoying self-employment. While there might be constraints on accessing credit, the inherent flexibility for sole traders is generally greater than for those dealing with more rigid limitations in company involvement.
