Budgeting advance

Hi. I am wondering if I would be able to get a budgeting advanced for a mattress, bed frame and a winter coat as my bed broke and I'm currently sleeping on a hard cold floor, also don't have a proper winter coat. 

Does a budgeting advance cover this?

    Yes those items are things you can request the loan for. You need to be claiming a qualifying means tested benefit for at least 6 months.

    You'll also need to have earned less than £2,600 in the 6 months before your application. This figure is £3,600 if you live with a partner.

    You can't get a budgeting advance if you or your partner is still paying off a previous budgeting advance.

    To apply you will need to ring the helpline.
