Carers element is part of Universal Credit and you can’t claim this yourself.
For your daughter to claim carers element you must be claiming a qualifying disability benefit yourself, such as daily living PIP, DLA mid/high rate care, AA or ADP daily living. She must also be claiming Universal Credit. There’s also carers allowance which is a separate benefit to UC. Again you must be claiming a qualifying disability benefit. What benefits do you claim yourself exactly?Does your daughter work? Or claim benefits herself?0 -

Just wanted to welcome you to the community!
I'm sorry your medical condition is getting worse. Have you made your GP aware?0
