    I'm tempted to sleep on the settee tonight @Ada,the sitting room is probably the warmest place in the house.

    I haven't had a hot water bottle for years @Sandy_123,our daughter bought one for me once but it was so small it didn't stay hot for any time at all.

    Oh this is so sad I can’t stand the thought off you been so cold, and the cold doesn’t help with illnesses.

    Yeah I got my daughter a hot water bottle that has strap for round her stomach as she has IBS similar to this.

    We have one in what used to be our daughter's room @Sandy_123.

    I want to replace it with a bed but I can't find one that I like.

    No it’s not fair your having to struggle like this. I know you said you got refused years ago for more help from the Discretionary Fund but now that you are paying out much more and leaving you not much to buy food and for heating I think you’d have a good chance off getting help. Please try Ada.

    When I bought my sofa a couple off years ago from the discounted part in DFS I agreed to buy it then found out it’s also a sofa bed so it’s great for the grandkids to stay.
