Awarded PIP- LCWRA question…

I’ve had a text today to say I’ve been awarded pip- more info will come in post.
i was on long term sick and on UC- the job centre prompted me to fill out forms for LCWRA. I’ve had my assessment for that while I was waiting for PIP out come. I don’t know the outcome of LCWRA yet.
my questions are:
1) should I wait until I get my letter to see what I’m awarded before letting UC know?
2) will the LCWRA now not be eligible as I’ve been awarded pip. I’m guessing you can’t get both?

1/ Yes you can tell UC what PIP award you have. If you were affected by the benefit cap then this will no longer apply to you.If you're claiming help with the rent and you're a single person, under the age of 35, if your PIP includes the daily living part then you'll be entitled to the 1 bedroom rate of local Housing allowance. If you're claiming UC with a partner and your PIP includes the daily living part, they can claim carers element of UC for looking after you, if they do so for at least 35 hours per week.2/ No, a PIP award doesn't automatically entitle you to LCWRA.0

Will the LCWRA claim now be effected as I’ve been awarded PIP? And will I need to inform UC? Is it a change?Thanks0 -

Is it a change?ThanksYour PIP award will have no bearing on any work capability assessment decision and it doesn't automatically entitle you to LCWRA. Most people have assessments for the work capability assessment so if you haven't had one of those yet then you should expect one.As for reporting your PIP award to UC, as i advised yes you can but whether this will affect your UC will depend on your circumstances. PLease have another read of my last comment because all the advice i can give is in there.
