Cleaner sensitive to the needs of an autistic person

Hi all - I am trying to find a cleaner for my friend in London. She is in severe autistic burnout and has been for many years. I have only recently met her online and don't live anywhere near her so I am trying to help from afar. (I am also autistic so I understand her plight, but I am lucky enough to have a support network, whereas she doesn't).

So she needs a cleaner that will understand she is disabled and in burnout and be very tactful and put things back exactly where they find them and work around her, because she is likely to still be in the flat whilst they're cleaning. She has had some bad experiences so far.

I have been Googling to try to find something and have found just one lead: Soma Healthcare seem to do cleaning too and understand disability.

Can anyone help me with any further recommendations please?

Hi @EvitaKnits, welcome to the community. This is a tough one, I can understand how important it would be to get the right person in.

I'm not sure I've personally come across any companies or services that would be helpful, but I'll do some research and see what I can come up with.

If you can't find any companies offering specific care, have you had any luck with the more independent cleaners, perhaps on a local facebook group or community group? I can imagine it would be easier to explain to one regular person that there need to be strict boundaries on how they work for your friend's wellbeing, rather than a company sending out different cleaners each week. It might be something you've already tried, but just a thought.

Hopefully some of our members might know some places you could try too :)
