Hi all,
My Son is in college and I claim Child Benefit [CB] and Child Tax Credit [CTC] for him. He would like to work Part Time, whilst in college too, and has asked me if it will affect my CB and CTC claim for him.
Would it affect either or both claims of CB and CTC, please? Does anyone know?
Thank you in advamce for your help and replies.

Thank you, Poppy. Is it 15 hours maximum he'd be allowed to work before it will affect the benefits I get for him, please?0

Please let someone clarify this because I am not sure I am right.
However if they are in college full time any money they earn does not affect your benefits.
However if they leave college and you apply for a 20 week extension on your benefits. At this point you are only entitled to the money if they work less than 24 hours a week.
Here's wishing your son all the best on his course and you won't need to worry about the 20 week extension.1 -
