Dont understand ESA

i have been on ESA work related one for a while .i dont actually understand why ...my condition has deterioted over the past couple years which they know as the women i see for work at job centre now rings me at home as she knows is difficult for me to attend and she has been helpful with my depression etc ...i was asked why i was not on the support group ESA ,bit confused

You have to have a "limited capability for work related activity" to be placed in the support group. The criteria is listed in appendix 3 here (you have to scroll down a long way) http://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/work-capability-assessment.
