Telephone assessment and form plus evidence

My telephone re-assessment is coming up. I would like to know,
Will the person doing the assessment have read my form plus the extra information and evidence I sent with it?
If so, what is the purpose of the phone interview?
Or does only the decision-maker at the DWP see this, along with the report written by the telephone-assessor?

Yes they should read everything before the assessment. The purpose of the assessment is to gather more evidence to support your claim, it means you didn't provide enough of relevant information. The majority of people have assessments.1
