My own experience has highlighted to me that emotional well being is not always given enough priority.  After a distressing experience at my local hospital I left in the early hours.  At no time was I contacted the next day by my GP or the Ward Matron.  In speaking to my social worker one week later. On asking she advised me that there had been no contact verbally or otherwise by the hospital of the situation that had led me to leave.

I would be interested to know if others have experienced this. Ambulance staff previously after a visit to my home and from their observations deemed it was necessary for this to be put in place regarding my care a few weeks before.

    Hi Mechele

Sorry to hear of what you have been through. I don't have any personal experience of this but wondered if the Patient's Association might be able to advise you if there are any further steps you can take to raise your concerns with the appropriate people: http://www.patients-association.org.uk/

    Best Wishes
