Lwc/work allowance

in Universal Credit (UC)
I had my assessment last year and have limited capability for work (not lcwra), I know I don’t get extra money for this but do I get a work allowance or is this for claimants before 2017 or whenever they changed it? Thanks

    Yes, you or a partner (if you claim with one) will still be entitled to the work allowance, if either of you receive any earnings from working. If you claim for help with the rent it will be £379/month, if you don't it will be £631/month. If neither of you receive any earnings then the work allowance is irrelevant.

    I’ve been on long term sick leave and hoping to return to my role with limited hours soon. 
    My husband works and we don’t claim help with housing costs, there isn’t anything in regards to the work allowance on any of our UC statements or would this start when I’m back to work?

    As your husband works then the work allowance should already be included. Please note that the work allowance isn't an element in itself. It means that more of your earnings can be kept before any deductions apply. You should be able to see whether it's included because it will tell you how much earnings have been used for the deductions.
