LCWRA back payment

Hi, i'm new here and i've been looking through threads/discussions and come across a few things which is now confusing me. I have seen a lot of back payment queries and wanted to know if you have to report change of health along side fit note. Some respondants to the threads have said yes some has said no. I don't remember reporting a change to health but I know I have been reporting fit notes and I assume they go hand in hand as in its the same. Does this mean I miss out on back payment?
I thought like everyone else the system automatically does the calculation and can see the fit notes but now i'm hearing about DM? so is it actually someone that checks through fit notes/dates and does the calculations?

Strange coincidence but there was a new member yesterday that was asking the exact same question.
It’s not vital that you “report a health condition” you provided fit notes and that’s all that is needed. Many people don’t report health conditions and just provide a fit note.If there’s money owed a case manager needs to recalculate your past statements to work out exactly how much is owed. It is not automatically done by the system. If there were gaps in your fit notes then this can affect when the extra money is paid from.0 -
Thank you, how do I get in touch with the case manager? Do I call UC? My fit notes have been consecutive one after the other but I think there is gap between one fit note which starts 5 days later and have not had any gaps since then. Does this mean it could possibly be calculated from the ones with no gaps.0

Gaps can affect when the extra money is paid from. You can check through your journal to see how long the gaps were.
What date did you provide your first fi note? And what date do you usually receive your money each month?0 -
I've just check the gaps. I started to give fit notes from Oct 2022 and from then I had 2 day gap on a fit note and 4 day gap on another. From 11th March 2023 there has been no gap until now. Would they make this an issue? Would it start from oct 22 or mar 23?I get paid on the 17th of every month. I was awarded lcwra 3 weeks ago0

I can't tell you when they will start the waiting period from because it will be down to a decision maker to make that decision.
If they go from Oct 2022 your first payment will be either Feb or March 2023. If they go from 11th March 2023 then your first payment will be July 17th 2023.0 -
Thank you!0
