Good crossword website/app?

Does anyone know of a good website or app for crosswords, with no "clutter" like adverts or comments on the page?

I have a thing about clutter as it can affect my negative thoughts - I have to block things like adverts, along with comments sections i.e. the YouTube comments.

I used to like the Guardian crossword and used it for several years because you got 1 a day, it was quite hard, you could reveal the answer if you got stuck, and they saved your progress on their site. However now the site doesn't work if I use my ad blocker and I can't use it with all the adverts, comments & links to articles.

What do others use?

Thanks!!! :)

Heya @66Mustang I know this was posted last month, but I just wanted to see if you managed to find anything?

Hi @Albus_Scope, no I didn't manage to find a replacement. I am sticking with Cardle, Wordle, Quordle and most recently Connections that @Jimm_Scope helpfully suggested. I find this is enough to keep me occupied but would still like to find a nice crossword if anyone knows of one!!

I found this one a few days ago -

It appears to be 'free' (so far), but like Wordle etc you only get 1 per day - but you can use their Calendar to pick a 'previous' days crossword.

Not sure if it will suit your clutter-free requirements, but I use an ad-blocker on my Android phone and it is OK.
