Hi @ksjm04 it's hard to tell what's going on with minimal information given.  But it looks like they've been underpaying your son, as he was reported as getting child disability payments and not DLA.
They need you to report that he was getting middle rate DLA from 12/08/2021, then once that has been done, they will explain what to do next.

As said, they've stated you've been underpaid, so I'm guessing there was a change that hadn't been reported correctly, likely on their end, so they're asking you to make adjustments via your UC journal. This is so they can pay you correctly in the future and it looks like you'll get some back pay too.  :)

You said he used to receive mid rate care DLA but now receives high rate care. When it was mid rate you would have only be entitled to the lower disability child element. When he was awarded higher rate care the disabled child element would have been increased to the higher disabled child element. It could be money owed from when his DLA increased.

Money owed to us or back to them @poppy123456 ? How much is this extra amount a month with on middle rate dla?

For mid rate care you would only be entitled to the lower disabled child element of £146.31/month. For higher rate it increases to £456.89/month.

@poppy123456 i see so they must of had a gap in my payments when they weren’t paying this element?

I have no idea sorry. You can look through your statements from when he was award high rate care and see what you were receiving.
