So, I put in for PiP in December I’ve done all my assessments etc and it said it was with a decision maker.
Over the past two days I have had two calls from pip that said
“Would you be able to handle a large amount of backdated money” so i said “yes that’s fine as I don’t handle my finances anyway my step mom does” everything was fine and dandy with that.
“Would you be able to handle a large amount of backdated money” so i said “yes that’s fine as I don’t handle my finances anyway my step mom does” everything was fine and dandy with that.
Then this afternoon they ring back again asking When I went off sick and came out of work due to my health conditions so I told them and then they asked how many times a month I collected my meds and I said once a month but I have no control over this as I’m suicidal.
Has anyone had anything like this before and is it anything to be concerned about please?

Hi @courtney313 - & welcome to the community. Sometimes the decision maker will ring to ask a few questions before they complete your decision. Perfectly normal, so please don't worry about this at all

Heya @courtney313 and a warm welcome from me also.
As Chiarieds has already said, it's perfectly normal for the DWP to call you toward the end of your claim, it's just dotting the 'i's and crossing the 't's

Thankyou so much everyone! Do you reckon they will come back in next couple of weeks with a decision?1

Hopefully you'll get a letter posted out soon, then the post can take a couple of weeks. If you get a text to say a decision has been made, then you can ring the next day, even tho it says you shouldn't, & find out what the decision has been. Tel: 0800 121 4433 the best time being when they open at 9 am, & good luck

I think Chiarieds has covered everything there, so best of luck! Will you update us and tell us how you get on please?

Thankyou both! I hope it won’t be long now as the anxiety I’ve built up with this is ridiculous 😩 I will most certainly update you!1
