Anyone know when the sick note and benefits change will start from getting disability benefits stopped and being forced to take any job otherwise get all benefits stopped permanently will make me homeless with no way to pay rent oh and I will starve to death too 🙃

Hey @neil12345 I totally understand your concern and this is all very stressful for many of us, but please remember these are just ideas now and nothing is set in stone.

Hi @neil12345, we don't know the exact timescales on what they're hoping to do with the benefits system.  It could well be that the election happens, we change governments, and none of it goes forward at all. I can't say that for certain, but it is a possibility.

I know that doesn't make it much easier to cope after all that was discussed in today's speech, but whatever happens we'll be here to support you :)

TBF I just read the speech and he doesnt appear targeting the most vunerable genuine claimants.
He stated they will always be supported.
The system does need a shake up but the Tories have been harping on about it for years and according to Sunak the situation is out of control and unnafordable so they have achieved nothing really

Large scale Benefits cuts are going to be an item in the Tory general election manifesto affecting PIP and UC/ESA.
The good news is that the Tories are set to lose by a record breaking figure. In the papers today the Tories in Dorset have told Sunak that they don't wont him to appear there to assist with the election campaign.
