Hi all just looking for some advice. I get Pip and UC. When I was applying for housing benefit last year my local housing authority advised that due to being on Pip my son living with me wouldn’t affect my housing benefit. Universal credit after asking for an update recently on my
recent increase in rent have now requested information about children who live with me. But technically he is not a child but a grown man I don’t have specific date for him o ing back in as he moved in and out for a few years depending on how he and his child’s mammy were getting on. Basically I don’t know what to fill

You mentioned housing benefit but also UC. You will only be claiming housing benefit if you're living in either temporary or supported housing. If not then your rent will be paid in with your UC known as housing element. Both are completely different benefits.
If you have no children living with you then you would answer no.0 -
Hi @helenann31 and welcome to the community.
I can see Poppy is already supporting you here, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I've moved your post to the UC category, so more people in the know will be able to see it. I hope that's ok?0
