Starting Again

Hi,
I am looking for some help. I have been with my employer for over 20 years. Sadly my mobility has gradually become worse to an extent where I can no longer do my role. I recently had a meeting with management and HR about my future. They have offered me a settlement figure which to be honest is quite poor. I have declined this and are now been used as needed for the next few months in the hope a more suitable role becomes available.
I am in my fifties. How do I even start looking for another job ?

Hi @Fuzzy200 welcome that's a shame you can no longer do your job. Do you have any idea what type of job might be suitable? What skills you have and one that would suit your mobility

Hi, thanks for the welcome. I have over 20 years experience in customer service and some admin. Sadly due the nature of my disability, walking and balance are becoming very different. Most shops these days require multi skilled roles. A recent health review recommend admin roles or work from home. Sadly these seem to be very rare in my area.

Hi there firstly I would speak to ACAS they helped me when I had a problem in work and they wouldn’t make reasonable adjustments so I got a high settlement ACAS got involved and they really helped .

You could look on indeed I find it
to be really good for looking for jobs .
