Please help me with PIP. On May 9, the husband will have the evaluation by phone. I don't rely on his answers, he doesn't like to communicate and doesn't know how to explain things, he will definitely only answer yes or no. Will they let me explain it to them? Can I tell them from the start that he doesn't understand complex things? There are things that happen but he doesn't know how to express himself.

Hey there @Sinica you can be there during the assessment, that's not a problem at all. You can just have the phone on speakerphone and introduce yourself. But the assessor will want your husband to be answering, but you can always prompt him if needed. I hope it goes ok.

This happened at my partner's PIP assessment, he didn't answer questions and I had to prompt him, luckily he did get awarded PIP.0

I advise becoming an appointee, I ended up having to do this and it allowed me to answer for him and represent him at any future reviews and assessments.0
