Hi, my name is Countrybumkin! On LCWRA, is the LHA in my area wavered?

Hello all, thanks for add. I would like to know if as I have been on LCWRA since 2019 and PIP for daily living since last year  if the LHA in my area is wavered? I pay £700 for a terrible houseshare on 3rd floor and my husband £700 for studio. We can't live together as the landlords won't allow it. I'm 65, and my health is deteriorating rapidly ...I can't manage the stairs as have fibro, osteoarthritis and now suspect RA. Because I've only been in the area since last year, council say they can't help as rules say 6 years. Thanks very much.

    LHA (Local Housing Allowance) is used when determining entitlement to help with your rent when privately renting. It is not wavered. 

    Living in a house share you would be entitled to the 1 bedroom rate of LHA. 

    I’m not convinced this is what you mean though.
