I’ve just been awarded LCWRA, when will I receive the extra money?

I have just been awarded LCWRA, and I’m just wondering when the extra money will be added onto my Universal Credit payments?
Submitted first fit note on the 15th February.
(Fit note expired on the 16th March)
Submitted second fit note on the 4th April.
(Fit note was backdated to the 16th March and it was dated from the 16th March to the 16th May)
Received a message on UC journal today saying that I had been awarded LCWRA.
When will I receive the extra money on my Universal Credit payments please?
Thanks

The issue you will have here is the gap in your fit note from 16th March to 4th April. Even though it was backdated and was accepted at the time when it comes to the waiting period then it will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision. Usually gaps in fit notes will affect when the extra money is paid from.If the accept the gap you first payment will be either June or July.If they don’t then it will either August or Sept. The exact dates of either of those will depend on what date you usually receive your money each month.
Either way, no LCWRA element is owed.0 -
I understand there was a gap, but Universal Credit said as long as it was submitted by a certain date, then it wouldn’t affect the claim. (I submitted it by the date they said, even though the note has expired. So, I think it should be ok?)
How can I find out when the first payment will be? I usually get paid UC on the 29th.Would the work coach know when the first payment will be?

Who ever told you that about your fit note was wrong to advise that. Gaps can definitely affect when the extra money is paid from. It happens quite often here where gaps have not been accepted. If they go from your first fit note your waiting period will be Feb to May… LCWRA starts from 23rd May to 22nd June and first payment will be 29th June.If they don’t accept that gap and go from your 2nd fit note then your waiting period will be April to July… LCWRA starts from AP 23rd July to 22nd August and first payment will be 29th August. There’s no LCWRA element owed regardless of when it’s paid from. You can put a message onto your journal to ask.0
