I had a Health assessment and it was decided I had LCW I currently work 20hrs a week but due to health issues I want to reduce my hrs ASAP,  I need abit of advice what LCW means does it mean I don't need to do so many hrs? My concern is if I reduce my hours will universal credit sanction me as of yesterday if you don't work 18hrs you are asked to look for more hrs, if I cut my hrs will it have a impact on what universal credit on LCW allow me in payments hope you can help.

As you have LCW then you do not have to look for work and no requirements to work either. If you reduce your hours you can't be sanctioned. The new rules for AET do not apply to you. However, if you reduce your hours then you maybe asked to attend work focused interviews.

If the decision on your WCA was within the last 13 months and you disagree with that because you think you should have been found to have LCWRA then you can challenge that decision by requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration.

Thank you poppy for your reply, it's only been a week since it was decided on the LCW , I am so frustrated and anxious because I'm finding it difficult to do my full hrs , when do you get  a review on LCW is it every couple of months?

It's an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise. It would definitely not be every couple of months.

Poppy does that mean I'm not assessed again for a while how long? do you think I should ask for a reconsideration, if you don't mind me asking how long have you been on LCW and how often do you have a review? If you don't want to answer that's OK, this is my first day using scope so hello poppy12345

As I advised, it's an ongoing award so there's not really any timescales. Some people wait a year, some 2 years and others possibly 3 years.

I don't claim UC because I still claim ESA and I'm in the Support Group, which is the same as LCWRA for UC. My last review was 2020, just as the pandemic started I received the form. I was kept in the Support Group through a paper based assessment.

I can't tell you if you should request the MR because I don't know how your conditions affect you. Have you taken a look at the descriptors for LCWRA? If not then you can see them here. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc/uc-faq/limited-capability-for-work-related-activity#:~:text=LCWRA%20descriptors,reasonably%2C%20be%20worn%20or%20used.&text=(ii)%20repeatedly%20mobilise%2050%20metres,of%20significant%20discomfort%20or%20exhaustion.

Before doing anything else you need to look at those to see if you think any apply to you. Only one of those needs to apply. If you think they do then you can request the MR which you can do on your journal. You should state which descriptor you think applies to you and your reasons why.
