Only backdating mobility component and not daily living?

Ive been on PIP for 7 years now and a year ago i received the usual review form which i filled in and sent off. I waited a while and only had my assessment a few weeks ago. Had a phone call Monday to say my award had been raised from standard living to enhanced. I also got standard mobility where i had none before.
I spoke to someone at PIP today and they told me my backpay amount and that it covered just over a year and ive sat and worked it out with my husband and it seems they have only backdated the mobility componant and not the extra on the daily living.
Is this normal? Someone told me they dont have to backdate atall as its not a new claim, only a review.

If it was a review started by DWP then they don't always award from an earlier date. Some are lucky but others not. It wouldn't be possible for me to tell you why they haven't awarded the daily living from an earlier date and for this you would need to ring PIP to ask them.

Thank you for replying.
I did call them today and she said a case manager would be looking at my claim and i should phone back in 2 weeks for an update. At least now i know its unlikely.
