Hello, I've been on ESA for a number of years, but I'm not sure which specific type of ESA I'm on. I still haven't received the letter about transitioning to Universal Credit. Since my ESA is based on my national insurance contributions, so not sure if i need to transfer to Universal Credit.

Contributions based ESA is not part of UC. If any part of your ESA is Income Related you will be transferred across.
