Ssp1 form

I've tried to reply to your comment to my initial post but for some reason the post won't show up ?

I just wanted to ask regards the ssp1 form , you said I can ask my employer 3 months before my ssp is due to end for the ssp1 for to apply for ESA.

Can I wait until my ssp period is near to the 28 weeks , at the moment it's on week10. I haven't had any communication with them since I handed in my first fit note on the 16th march, I won't be able to continue there I know that because of the heavy manual work. They dont know about me receiving UC or having a WCA, or if that is successful maybe LCWRA.

If I asked for this ssp1 now could they take that as an indication I won't be returning to work and stop my ssp ?
