Hi all,

I have a pip review which should be due to be done soon (according to the award letter it should be reviewed around May), can I just ask, how do they inform you that it’s being reviewed? I’ve seen some people have received texts before the letter comes, I only ask because the postal service around my area is shocking and we can go weeks without receiving mail and then it suddenly all comes at once weeks later… so I’m slightly worried if I’m waiting solely on a letter!

    Reviews usually start about 8 months before your award is due to end.

    Yes, they sometimes send a text if they have a mobile contact number for you to tell you that your review has started. You should then receive the form within the next 2 weeks.

    When filling out the form please make sure you treat it as a new claim and give as much relevant information as possible. Even if there’s no changes to your conditions. Please do not just write no change and nothing else.

    If you need extra time to return it you can ring to ask and they will give an extra 2 weeks.

    There’s very long delays with review decisions so you could be waiting a very long time for a decision.
