Awarded DLA for daughter what to do

My daughter has finally been awarded middle rate care and lower rate mobility!
my question is we have been waiting 17 weeks for this and currently claim uc are we entitled to any back pay from uc for carers?

    You will need to report the changes first and tell them about the DLA award. You will then be entitled to the lower disabled child element from the assessment period in which the DLA is awarded from.

    For carers element, providing you're not claiming the LCWRA element for yourself, then you will need to report a change of circumstances. The click caring for someone and report caring for her for at least 35 hours per week.

    Money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it.
