Receiving pip and claiming UC as lost full time job
Any advise for a friend please, she lost her job as the company moved and she was under a 6 month trial period, the company used that to finish her employment, she now receives high mobility and standard care pip since last claimed UC, she has one dependant child and pays a mortgage. Cannot fathom how to add pip to details on UC new claim, by logging into her account. How much UC will she be entitled to for herself and child and will she get reduced council tax? she has gone back to a no hours contract job part time hours.

She can just leave a message on her journal to tell them she's claiming PIP. However, if she's a single person then this will not change her UC award.
If it's just herself and her child then her maximum UC entitlement will include single person standard allowance £311.68 (if under 25) or 393.45/month. (if 25 and over) If her child was born before 6th April 2017 child element will be £333.33/month. If child was born after 6th April 2017 then it will be £287.92/month.
She will not be able to claim for help with the mortgage.
As she has a child on her claim the first £673/month of earnings received will be ignored. For every £1 over that amount her UC will reduce by 55p. (55% reduction)
She can use a benefits calculator to check entitlement. Difficult to give exact advice without knowing all her details.
If her health condition limits her capability to work she can report the health condition and provide a fit note. She must continue to provide fit notes until a decision is made on her work capability assessment.

No, unfortunately not. She will still need to go through the WCA.
