PIP RENEWAL
Hi,
I received a letter from DWP saying my PIP is up for renewal and I have until the 16th July to complete the forms and send them back.
I know the boxes aren’t that big so, can I just type it up on a computer and attach it with my written forms? as writing would be a struggle for me. Also, I don’t really want to write on the forms that nothings changed so, should I write how my condition is still affecting me now?.
PIP is due to end on January 2025 and I know there is a backlog in my area as a friend submitted her forms in January 24 for renewal but still hasn’t heard anything back. With mine ending in January 25 what would happen if a decision still has not been made by then?would my payments automatically stop or would it continue past the date and stop if unsuccessful after?
Kinds regards

Yes, it's fine to type everything but please make sure you clearly state what question it's related to. Don't forget to put your name and NI number on everything you send. You should also treat it as a new claim, even if there's been no changes.
If a decision isn't made by the time your award is due to end it will be extended. I returned my form in November 2023 and my PIP was due to end on 26th June. A couple of weeks ago I received a letter saying it's been extended for 1 year.

Thank you Poppy I really appreciate for your help!
Yeah, I’ll make sure I’ll write info on everything.
